Rather than field servicing, a more cost-effective proposition is utilising our Return to Base (RTB) service. Devices can be shipped either by the end user or yourselves to our Workshop in Haddenham. Our Workshop team will diagnose and fix the issue before shipping the device back to your business or directly to the end user. We can also provide a box and packaging for your end-user and arrange secure courier pickup for a seamless service.
The RTB service can also be used to diagnose complex faults or take a device out of the field if parts are on long back order, saving your customer room on-site. A number of our customers utilise this service for lower-cost warranty work, as it eliminates the need for travel to the site, making it much more cost-effective.
Whether you’re looking for individual devices to be refurbished ready for resale or a continuous programme of refurbishment then we are able to assist. Our team can sort through returned devices to cherry pick the very best and most cost-effective devices to refurbish on your behalf and then store them until you are ready to deploy them into a new customer environment. Alternatively, if you would prefer to drop off or us to collect specific devices and parts and we simply provide the technical resource to refurbish them, then we can do that too.
COVID has introduced prolonged device life cycles, with less usage on certain equipment recently meaning that a refurb and resell model for a lot of businesses makes total financial sense. With margins under pressure like never before, selling and supporting high quality refurbished devices allows both sales and service departments to generate higher profitability. Furthermore, a lot of customers are now wanting to be more socially and environmentally conscious, so demonstrating to you are able to reuse equipment with no downside in performance will bring valuable benefits to your brand. Should you lack internal resource then we can fulfil the refurbished model for you entirely from not only the refurb itself, but the field servicing if required too.
When taking equipment out of site our Secure Disposal process gives you and your customer confidence that there will be no data breaches or confidential data being misplaced. Working to ISO27001 protocols, our secure transport facility allows us to securely tag devices at site before transporting them to our facility. Vehicles are tracked once leaving, making sure that they do not deviate from a prescribed route.
At our location devices are then tagged in and taken through access controlled, CCTV monitored premises to our disposal’s lab. Here any traces of use are removed, hard drives are sent to our on-site degausser for removing their data and certificates are issued for compliance purposes.
It’s often the responsibility of the new supplier to ensure a responsible disposal process is followed at the end of the technology’s lifecycle, and we are here to assist you. Our process begins by breaking down the equipment and salvaging any reusable parts, adding value to items that might otherwise be considered junk. Next, we carefully extract parts suitable for recycling. Only after these steps do we engage our responsible waste contractor to dispose of the remaining equipment in accordance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) guidelines.
We can then provide you with a certificate to demonstrate responsible recycling and end-of-life disposal of the equipment, which you can pass on to your customer.
